Quality Child Care
Learning Minds Child Development Center (LMCDC) is a 501.c.3 non- profit early learning and childcare center located in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia. We are committed to provide children with a stimulating educational experience that promotes their social emotional, physical, and cognitive development, with an emphasis upon early literacy and inclusive learning environments.
At Learning Minds Child Development Center Inc., we are dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming environment for all children. Learning Minds Child Development Center aims to provide stimulating early care and education experience which promotes each child’s social/emotional, physical and cognitive development and to support children’s desire to be lifelong learners. We also provide a home-like environment where children are encouraged to develop at their own pace. Each child is born with potential. We know that the preschool years are the most critical time in a child’s development. During this time, children based on their environment and experiences, will learn trust, self-expression, and self-worth. In this environment, we offer opportunities for children to make choices that will enhance their naturally emerging skills. We encourage independent thinking, curiosity, exploration, and discovery through developmentally appropriate curriculum, materials, and methods. It is through movement and discovery, rather than a mobile state that children grasp and learn about the world around them.We offer advanced services such as:A full day care and learning center for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. A school age extended care and summer enrichment program that offers extracurricular activities. Early educators who are trained to provide intervention and support services for gifted students or students with moderate learning challenges and those who need ADHD and Dyslexia intervention. Our programs are designed to cultivate self-confidence and self-sufficiency which is easier to learn when instilled at an early age. Because the first six years of a child's life is a critical stage in their development, LMCDC will focus on building age-appropriate skills regardless of learning styles. Learning Minds Child Development Center, Inc. admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at LMCDC. LMCDC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship, and athletic and other LMCDC-administered programs.
Physical: To increase children’s large muscle skills – balancing, running, jumping, throwing, and catching – and use the small muscles in their hands to do tasks like buttoning, stringing beads, cutting, drawing, and writing. No matter what your child needs, each of our programs will provide the support and tools necessary for optimal growth.
Our students gain access to activities and services designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic program, such as: multi-sensory learning, physical activity, coding and robotics classes, workforce development opportunities including gaining knowledge and skills in science, technology, religion/robotics, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) that underpin most modern jobs, drug and violence prevention programs, counseling programs, the arts, and more. Additionally, families of children served have access to their own programs in literacy and related educational development. These programs provide an infrastructure to bring in other resources to our students including access to mentors, tutors, snacks and meals.
